CCM Spares
After seeing the CCM riding, White Helmets Display Team the Sultan wanted a similar team of his very own. Ordering 54 bikes, CCM spares and CCM tools meant he helped CCM out of their monetary problems.

CCM Engine Parts
At this time CCM was self sufficiently building CCM engine parts and eventually moved to much bigger premises. This was a much needed move but also very costly. So costly in fact that it took the Sultan of Oman to get them through it!

CCM British Championship
Back home they did much better with a CCM British Championship victory.
Success meant bigger demand and this in turn meant that they needed more room. This was made even more prominent when Clews bought more liquidated stock parts for engines and needed somewhere to house them.

CCM Grand Prix
The company continued to grow with over half its 1974 stock going abroad. The team also went abroad competing in their first Grand Prix in Austria and French Grand Prix. CCM didn’t do so well but the experience was a learning curve for both them and the design of the bike.

Side Car Cross was a niche market that Clews also stepped into building an engine for Jack Matthews with which he rode to success in the British Sidecar Trials Championship.
